We finally took a trip down to Southern California. We left on the 8th and got back on the 17th. We had so much fun. We stayed pretty busy, spending time with family and friends and taking the kids to places we thought they would enjoy. The 10 hour drive down was pretty good for the most part. The last 2 hours were pretty crazy. The kids had had enough of sitting in the car by then and there was no convincing them to stop crying. Brian and I had almost pulled our hair out by the time we got to Grandmas. We had decided at that time that we were going to leave at 3am to come home so that the kids would sleep longer. Which worked. We left at 4 and got home at about 12:30 so not only did we have to stop less the kids didn't mind it as much.
As you can see, the car was pretty packed. We brought everything! It's crazy how much you have to pack when you have kids.

Here we are about an hour before we got to Grandmas and Emery was not consolable. We tried everything. Here we are outside of Mcdonalds. It was a bummer because since she's not walking yet she couldn't really get out and stretch like Holden could. We were not about to let her crawl around in the crazy yucky spots we stopped at.
